(1) Any eligible voter interested in becoming a candidate for an elected position of the tribe, must file a Declaration of Candidacy at least 60 days prior to the elections.

(2) After a determination by the committee that a person is eligible for candidacy, that person is then determined to be a candidate. The committee shall then place the candidate’s name on the election ballot, and the elected position sought by the candidate.

(3) Any person not a candidate shall not become a candidate by write-in voting. [Res. 1-18-86-B Art. VII, 1986.]
