To the fullest extent permitted by law, an elected official, employee, or officer shall have the right to assert defenses of immunity – whether sovereign, absolute, or qualified – from suit to any lawsuit brought against him/her resulting from the elected official, employee, or officer carrying out or performing their duties or obligations of their position, employment, or office with the tribe.
