A person who possesses a dog or cat must register such animal for a pet license from the Lake County animal care and control, unless exempted by such entity, within the time required by Lake County.

Violators will be given 15 days to comply with this section after being notified by an officer, after which they may be cited separately for each day the person commits this violation. [Ord. 12-15-2021A § 8.12, 2021.]
