(1) The committee shall conduct the annual tribal elections on the second Saturday of June, and any other duly called special election, as such committee is appointed to do so.

(2) The committee shall announce the annual tribal election date by written notice, to each eligible voter at least 90 days prior to the second Saturday of June.

(3) The committee, as appointed to conduct a special election, shall announce the special election date, by written notice to each eligible voter, at least 90 days prior to the date of the special election.

(4) The election notice shall contain a form for the purpose of filing a Declaration of Candidacy, office vacancies, the final date by which a Declaration of Candidacy may be filed, the mailing address of location where the form must be filed, and the qualifications for eligibility for candidacy.

(5) The committee shall be responsible to determine the eligibility of those persons filing a Declaration of Candidacy based on the provisions set forth in the Constitution of the Robinson Rancheria as found in Article V, Elections, Section 2, Qualification of Candidates.

(6) The committee has the authority to disqualify potential candidates based upon substantial written evidence that the potential candidate does not meet the qualifications for candidacy as set forth in the Constitution of the Robinson Rancheria, and not meeting those requirements as set forth in the guidelines of this chapter the committee shall have the right of appeal, and must file the appeal with the business council.

(7) The committee shall mail written notices announcing qualified candidates to all eligible voters of the Rancheria, resident and nonresident, at least 30 days prior to the election date. Said notices shall include, the election date, the locations where balloting will be conducted, and the times when the polls will be opened and closed, and the elected position sought by each candidate.
